By Yvonne Hockenbury Moore
Maybe I lack sophistication,
But you captured my imagination!
Depths of your eyes penetrating my soul,
Starting a fire that burns out of control!
Dreaming of your hair caressing my skin,
If I scream “Oh God!”--Would that be a sin?
Sometimes I'm afraid, just wanting to hide!
Sometimes I wonder, what you feel inside!
How can you make me, feel the things you do?
Could I ever do, the same thing to you?
Upon your alter, I kindle a fire,
And surrender my pride--for your desire!
Dare I to tell you, you got in my head?
Thinking about, you as I lie in bed!
Dreaming about, each possibility!
With your gaze upon me, what would you see?
Wishing I were lying in your embrace,
A holy communion--an act of grace!
Perhaps you will see this, and think me weak!
I wish I had magical words to speak!
Oh how I long, to gaze upon your face!
Caught up in the moment--no time or space!
Love, with your passion, would you baptize me?
We plus the Universe--A Trinity!
